The Platinum No Fault Warranty is The Gear Shop’s highest level of coverage and the strongest warranty in the industry. Unlike our Standard Shop Warranty that only covers the part, our Platinum No Fault Warranty also covers your out of pocket expenses — including towing, diagnosis, R&R labor, fluid, rental car, and shipping — for a full 36 months with unlimited mileage. WHAT “NO FAULT” MEANS
If a genuine transfer case failure occurs, we cover it regardless of the cause. Whether the failure resulted from a manufacturing issue or from an installation or operator issue — coverage is authorized as long as a real transfer case failure is confirmed upon inspection.
SINGLE-USE PROVISION
The Platinum Warranty is single-use. After a verified Platinum claim is fulfilled, coverage for the remainder of the 36-month term reverts to our Standard Shop Warranty (parts-only replacement). The warranty term does not reset or extend.
Important: This warranty does not take effect until The Gear Shop has received your qualified return core and original shipping container (or payment of the missing core & container fee). Prior authorization is required before any work is performed, before towing, and before a rental — failure to obtain it results in denial of the claim. The suspected defective unit must first be sent to The Gear Shop for warranty inspection; the replacement unit ships, and reimbursements are issued, only after a genuine transfer case failure is verified. All reimbursements require verified, itemized invoices from licensed businesses open to the public and are subject to the maximums above; submit all reimbursement invoices within 30 days of repair completion. If inspection determines the unit did not fail (misdiagnosis), no coverage of any kind applies and you must repay The Gear Shop’s actual shipping costs within 30 days or this warranty becomes null and void.
